Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

Declan Marnell was born on the 4th of April 2005 at 11.54 and died suddenly in his Mummy's arms on the 14th of January 2008. We have never got a reason why and probably never will get a reason or come close to understanding why Declan, a healthy perfect little boy was taken without reason. Declan was the most amazing little boy anybody could ever meet and I feel proud to say that I am his Mummy. He made people around him smile every day and even now with him gone, he is remembered with a smile. He was cheeky in a very cute way and always up to mischief. Declan also had a very caring side to him and always asked people around him 'you ok?'. At Nursery he was loved and enjoyed cheering other children up, it was like he was sent here to make other people happy, to show us all what life is really about. Life without him is not the same and not a day goes by Declan isn't remembered by his family. He was a great little brother to Aidan and would be a great big brother to his sister Leigha if he was still here. The 2years,9months,10days,2 hours and 6 minutes he has given us were the most amazing in our life and we treasure every memory we have with him. 'Til we meet again xxx All donations from this page are linked to the Scottish Cot Death Trust but please feel free to also donate to the SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood) Foundation as they also support families like us all over the world. Thank you for your time reading about Declan and helping us to keep his memory alive.
